Debbie was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 7th, 1956, daughter of the late Arlie B. and Zola Fields Brown. Debbie was a member of the Eden Baptist Church. Raised in Eastern Kentucky, Debbie was a true mountain girl and always had a love for the people in that area. She had a great sense of humor, of which many stories could be told, and was never afraid to embarrass her loved ones. Debbie was also a great fan of Stephen King novels and instilled a love of reading in her children. Most of all Debbie was known for her great faith, and the love she had for the Lord and for her family.
Debbie was survived by her fiance, Steven Cullen; one daughter, Michelle (and Greg) Johnston; two sons, Kenny (and Angela) Brock and Nathan (and Wendy) Brock; two brothers, Andy (and Helen) Brown and George (and Peggy) Brown; four grandchildren, Tamika Stogsdill, Eowyn Brock, Ripley Brock, and Madigan Brock; two great-grandchildren, Emma Reynoso and Zachary Reynoso; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie Brown, who departed this life on October 12th, 1994 and Zola Brown, who departed this life on April 23rd, 1976; one brother, James Brown; and one sister, Leasha Carol Brown, who died in infancy on December 12th, 1962.
Visitations were held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29th, 2023 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29th, 2023 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the Parlor Grove Cemetery.
