Funeral services for James Willard Curry, age 81, of Delhi, Louisiana will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Delhi, Louisiana with Bro. Jeff Coleman officiating. Interment will be in the Faith Memorial Park Cemetery near Delhi, Louisiana. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Delhi.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie Renee Thomas Slawson; parents, Jasper Willard Curry and Nancy Elizabeth Rhinehart Curry; brother, Emmitt Curry.
James is survived by his wife, Merle Curry of Delhi, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Laura Thomas of Rayville, Louisiana; son-in-law, Terry Slawson of Eros, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Britney Wheat (Jeremy), Alexis Thomas Peralta, Alex Murray, Katelyn Weems (Jamie), Justyn Slawson (Jessica), Ema Stewart (Fred); five great grandchildren, Eli Wheat, Lily Wheat, Micah Wheat, Thomas Weems, Ivey Mae Slawson; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Edda Curry of West Monroe, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Justyn Slawson, Jamie Weems, Terry Slawson, Eddie Thomas, Austyn Davis.
