Mary Jane Dant was born Aug. 6, 1954, at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Owensboro, KY to Fines A. Dant and Elizabeth 'Betty Jo' Hicks.

Mary Jane passed Sep. 14, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Council Bluffs, Iowa under the care of Hospice.

Janey grew up in Elba, Mclean County, KY. Attended school at St. Alphonsus, St. Joseph, KY then Beech Grove and Calhoun High Schools in McLean Co., KY.

She lived most of her adult life in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She chose to use her maiden name.

Janey was preceded in death by two infants. She leaves 5 children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 sisters.

Janey loved the Lord with a strong Christian faith and belief. Into 'His' hands we released her.


Her family have her ashes.
