Marian Pearson Gleason passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 24, 1939, the first of ten children to Harold and Lena Mae (Bagley) Pearson. She loved her siblings. Her favorite activities involved associating with them at numerous family reunions, weekend retreats, and other gatherings. Marian grew up in Midvale, Utah, and graduated from Jordan High School. She worked at many different offices and stores throughout her life. A self-described "people" person, she genuinely liked everyone she met, and work associates always became dear friends.

She married Leo Duane Jacobs (later divorced) and together they had four children. She married Herbert Lester Gleason and together they had five children. She loved and cared deeply for her 11 stepchildren. Her proudest accomplishment and greatest joy was found in her family. Mom loved babies and nurtured and adored every single one that came into her care. She proudly told all she met how many children, grandchildren (34), and great-grandchildren (8) she had. If time permitted, she'd show you their pictures on her iPad, which was, to her, a treasured digital scrapbook. Seeing her children's and grandchildren's happiness brought her peace and joy.

Mom's ability to offer love and acceptance to all was a defining attribute. She loved the scriptures and the gospel of Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her candy drawer, for delicious cinnamon rolls and fantastic homemade pies, for her infectious, endearing laugh, and hilarious antics too many to name. During the last 16 years, she has resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Darcy Jacobs, and has been lovingly cared for by her family and healthcare workers.

Marian is survived by her 9 children. She is also survived by 9 of her stepchildren, her much-loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as six siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband Herb, daughter-in-law Lisa, and siblings Kathryn, Roy, and Anna Marie.

Her funeral was held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel located at 115 East Wicker Lane, Bountiful, UT 84010. Interment followed in Kaysville City Cemetery.
