Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 1997, in Belvedere Memorial Park, San Angleo, TX. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at New Hope Baptist Church in Charlotte with The Reverend Dr. G. Reid Keiger, pastor of the church, officiating. Sherri was born March 23, 1960, in San Angelo, TX. She was a resident of Mint Hill, NC. for 3 years and was a Pedictric Unit Secretary in Carolinas Medical Center. Sherri was married to Lloyd Sharp on Nov 21, 1983 in Dallas, TX. Sherri was preceded in death by one son, Jason R. Laird and her grandfather, J. P. Cox. Survivors include her husband Lloyd Sharp; two daughters, Brooke Leigh Laird and Rebecca Sharp, and one son Brian Wayne Sharp, all of Mint Hill, NC; one stepson Christopher Lloyd Sharp of Dallas, TX. Her parents, Glen Ray Alsup and Shirley Ann (Cox) Alsup; sister Lorri R. Atwood, brother Brandon Alsup, and grandmother, Viola Cox, all of San Angelo, TX; and many friends around her home and at her work at Carolinas Medical Center.
