The father of Haven Earle "Bud" Haley was
Earl Royce Cain. Cain married Frances Mae Packard on 15 July 1925 In Maine. Their children Marguerite and Haven Earle Cain were born in 1927 and 1929. The 1930 census lists 3 year old Marguerite with her grandmother Zoola E. Cain in Hinds County Mississippi. Haven Earle, ten months old, is in Maine with his grandmother Mary J. Packard and his mother Frances M. Packard Cain. In 1930, Earl R. Cain is in Georgia (Army - Ft Benning). Frances Cain married Donald John Poland on 18 Dec. 1931. Apparently by that date, Haven Earle Cain had been adopted by True Jacob Haley (Memorial #98763822) and Ida Richards Haley. In 1938, True Haley died. In 1941, Ida Haley married Joseph Wilfred Dumont, and they later moved to California. In June 1942, Haven Earle Haley was listed on the Social Security Index. In 1945, Haven Earle Haley, a resident of San Diego, registered for the draft. He was Haven Earle "Bud" Haley in his professional life as an actor, radio show host and disc jockey. He died in Clark Nevada on 4 April 1998. (As of Sep 2023 no obituary found by manager of his FindAGrave memorial.) Two of Bud's sons are actor/director Jackie Earle Haley and True Haley.
