Evelyn Bayler, daughter of Edmund T. and Maud Bayler was bomin Stanford Township, Clay county, lliinois, April 4, 1910, and departed this life March 6, 1926, age 14 years, 11 months and 1 day.
She leaves to mourn their loss a father, mother, grandmother, one grandfather and grandmother, one grandfather and a host of relatives and friends.
Evelyn attended Sunday school at Patterson church and was always interested in the Lord's work; when unable to attend she would ask about the progress of the Sunday school.
She was a very obedient daughter, always thouhgtful and considerate of others. Her sickaess dates back as far as Chrlstmaa when she came home from Harter-Stanford high school where she waa a member of the sophomore class on her vacation. From that time she was confined to
her bed with rheumatism of the heart. She was cheerful and patient until the end.
Everything was done that loving hands and hearts could do to relieve her of pain, but to no avail.
The Blessed Savlour said "Come up higher" and her life's work was finished.
The funeral services were held at the home In Stanford township. Saturday March 7, at 10:00 a.m. and interment In Elmwood cemetery at Flora, III, Rev. Pressley, pastor of M. B. church of Clay City, had charge of the services. Boys from high school were pallbearers'' and girls from her class carried the florai offerings.
