Mr. Latham was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Marshall County to Charles F. and Sally Lillian Walley Latham. He was married to the former Glenavis Hipp.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a retired technical writer for Redstone Arsenal.
He is survived by his wife: Glenavis Latham of Arab; son: Steve Latham of Scant City; daughter: Stacy L. Murphree of Arab; brother and sister-in-law: Luther and JoAnn Latham of Arab; sister and brother-in-law: Jean and James Isbill of Albertville; and grandchildren: Savannah Latham, Evan Latham, Miranda Murphree and Tanner Murphree.
The funeral was at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Gober Funeral Chapel, with Boyd Bailey officiating. Burial was in Brookwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gannon Latham, Harvey Murphree, Tim Isbill, Shawn Grey, Mike Barron, Kevin McElea and Hunter Barron.
