She worked for 27 years in the Haleyville High School Lunchroom before retiring. Her coworkers were her lifelong friends. She attended Faith Baptist Church. Betty loved shopping, thrift stores, reading, and watching the sun set. She was adored by her friends and family, and she adored them. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist #2 Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Hazel Ruth Jackson Cagle; her husband, Jimmy Earl Barnett; brothers: Ronnie Cagle and Michael Hollis Cagle, Sr.; sisters: Jean Boucher, Faye Lovett, Linda Snell and Judy Ray; sister in law, Diane Southern Cagle; and brothers in law, A G Lovett and Lacy Barnett.
