"Waterloo - Walter E. Adler, 62, of 94 Church St., died early this morning (March 13) at Taylor Brown Hospital. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Herbert!. Schumm, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Mr. Adler was born Aug 14 ,1911, in Hell, N.D., the son of Christian and Amalia Sokolofsky Adler. He was an area resident for 37 years and in 1978 he retired as foundry foreman for Goulds Pumps. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Ella; two sons, Randy W. of Seneca Falls and Lyle C. of Seneca Falls; one daughter, Karen Bennett of Seneca Falls; one brother, Jake of Bismarck, N.D.; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Beisel of Tulsa, Okla.; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews."
