Graveside services for Katrina Savage, 94, of Lubbock will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 in Slaton's Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton.
Mrs. Savage was born Aug. 19, 1913 in Savoy, Texas. She moved to Slaton with her parents in 1920 and graduated from Slaton High School in 1931. She married James W. Savage on Dec. 23, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1962. Katrina moved to Lubbock to attend and graduate from Texas Tech University. She then received her Librarian Masters from North Texas State.
She returned to the Tech Library and worked in the Government Documents Division until retiring in 1979.
Katrina is survived by her son, James Savage of Windthorst and daughter, Suzanne Treece of LaJunta, Colo.; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
