A native of Buncombe Co., he was the husband of 59 years to Lettie Wright Dotson, m. 8 Feb 1947, Burke, North Carolina. He was the son of the late James and Dula Hudgins Dotson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son; Leslie Dotson; five sisters, four brothers, and a grandson.
He was a man who loved his Lord, he was a retired minister and was the Pastor for numerous local Churchs during his 55 years in the ministry. He was a carpenter by trade and was a life long resident of the Broad River Community.
He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.
