Born April 2, 1940 in Buffalo she was the daughter of the late Vannel O. Blackshire and Essie Mae Blackshire. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dorsel Howard Cobb Sr.; infant daughter, Linda K. Cobb; one sister and three brothers.
Survivors include her sons, John Owens Cobb, Dorsel H. Cobb Jr., Clovis E. Cobb and Robert Edward Cobb; daughters, Beverly Parker and Edith Facemyer. Emily is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday September 7, 2023 at Raynes Funeral Home, Eleanor with Rev. Mark Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloah Cemetery, Red House. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
