CARTER - Mr. Harley Carter, Jr. 79, of Jacksonville died September 13, 2001. He was a native of Andalusia, Alabama. Mr. Carter served in the Army during WWII and was a retired Plasterer. Survivors include 4 daughters; Brenda (Guyzell) Ballard, Samantha (Mack) Colbin, Vickie (Bobby) Kitchen & Linda Sue (Frank) Grilz; 3 sons, Jimmy Harrell, David (Rita) Butler & Harold (Sharron) Slay; a sister, Elvie Whatley; a brother, Ollie Carter; a close friends Bro. Salis; 23 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Grover Road Baptist Church where Mr. Carter was a deacon, Monday September 17, 2001 at 11AM with Rev. Terry Griffis officiating. Interment will be in Ferreira Memorial Cemetery.
