Virgina L. Boyd, age 85 of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully while resting at home on August 25th, 2023.
Virginia was born in the last days of summer, on September 9th, 1937. She was the blessing of the late Riley and Dova Poe Stewart. Jenny was a 1957 graduate of Thomas R. Brown High School. She spent her life making a loving home for her precious family. Jenny loved to camp and be outdoors. She impressively visited every state park in Kentucky in thirty days. She loved to visit new places and travel. Jenny could also be found knocking down pins at the bowling alley in her free time. She had a strong faith and attended the of the Beechstreet Christian Church. Jenny was blessed with 85 beautiful years here with us and she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Jenny leaves behind, three loving children, David Boyd and his wife Kim of Catlettsburg, KY, Tim Boyd and his wife Becky of Ashland, KY, and Angel McDowell and her husband Mike of Catlettsburg, KY; a host of precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one sister Ada Jobe of Catlettsburg, KY.
In addition to her parents, Jenny is enjoying a Heavenly reunion with her husband Charles E. Boyd; one son Charles Edward Boyd II, two brothers Ted Stewart and James Stewart, and two sisters Johnnie Randall and Reva Meredith.
A funeral service to honor the life of Jenny will be held on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023 beginning at 1:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home, located at 2409 Center Street, Catlettsburg, with Dr. Rob O'lynn officiating the service. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am to 1pm. Following the funeral service, Jenny will be laid to rest at Catlettsburg Cemetery.
