JAMES CLINTON STEWART, 79, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011, at Huntington Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Jefferson Avenue Church of God by Pastor Paul Farley. Entombment will be at Woodmere Memorial Park.
James was born on November 12, 1931, in Buchanan, Ky. The son of the late Riley Albert and Dova Edith Poe Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ted Nicholas Stewart.
James was a master electrician having retired from SMC.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alma Smith Stewart; one son Clinton Stewart; a daughter and son-in-law- Kim and Rodney Chapman; two grandsons; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Johnnie Randal, Reva Mae and Charley Phillips, Ada Rose and Leonard Jobe and Virginia and Bush Boyd; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
