Clements, William M. Enlisted on September 15, 1862 at age 27 in White Oak, Michigan to serve the state of Michigan in the 26th Mich Infantry. Mustered out on August 27 1864 at David's Island, New York Harbor-did not survive the war.

William had enlisted with several family members into Company B. of the 26th Michigan on August 22, 1862, at the age of 27. He had been suffering from illness since the regiment was stationed at New York.

Buried in the (Cypress Hills) National Cemetery at Brooklyn, New York Grave # 1720.
