Mrs. Ruby Gober Densmore, 95, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008, at Clapp's Nursing Center.

Ruby was born in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, on September 24, 1912. On April 08, 1932 she married Abner Flurr Densmore. The ceremony was performed by her uncle Rev. George Newton Gober in the parlor of his home in Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi.

She was manager of the Candy Department at Sears for many years. She was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, where she taught Young Couples Sunday School Class. She had numerous hobbies and "Granny" was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend to all. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Densmore was preceded in death by her loving husband, A. Flurr Densmore; her parents, James and Mary Floyd Gober; ten brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Ramona D. Murphy of Pleasant Garden; grandchildren, Melinda M. Crawford, Theresa M. Hicks, Laurie M. Powell; great grandchildren, Bridget, Sabrina, Angie, Amber, Nathan, Will; and nine great-great grandchildren, Dustin, Angelina, Andres, Addison, Zachary, Kirsten, Hannah, Adreyanna and Brooklyn.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Barrett and Rev. Buford Smith officiating.
