Gary Richard Meek, age 66, of River, KY died Friday August 25, 2023 in Ashland, KY. He was born January 26, 1957 in Paintsville, KY to the late Homer & Ruth Mills Meek. Gary was a member of the Phillip Cove Free Will Baptist Church and a retired assembly worker for American Standard. He is survived by 2 daughters, Shawna Goble of Boons Camp, KY & Crystal (Landram) Burchett of Stambaugh, KY; 1 brother, James (Jenny) Meek of Meally, KY; 2 sisters, Kathy (Phil) Daniel of River, KY and Twana (Ed) Hickman of Boons Camp, KY and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Monday August 28, 2023 in the Preston Funeral Home chapel with Landram Burchett & Tim Preece officiating. Burial will follow in the Meek Family Cemetery at Boons Camp, KY. Friends may visit the Preston Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Monday.
