marrying on the 24th June 1945 to to Nan (Annette), together for 60 years.
Practised Family Medicine from 1953 to 1995 as a member of the Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Staff, after which he remained an Honorary Member. He also was an Emeritus Member of both the Ontario Medical and the Canadian Medical Associations.

Mission:
Mac was on his 34th mission when he took off on a sortie to bomb industrial facilities at Duisburg in the Ruhr, Germany. At about 06:00 hrs, while over the Rocroi area, France the aircraft Collided midair with Handley Page Halifax Mk III - LV818 of No.10 Squadron RAF, which had flown from RAF Station Melbourne and was engaged in the same mission. The two planes fell together. LV818 crashed in the vicinity of Rocroi, near the village of Taillette, at the place called Les Bernes, France close to the Belgian border with the loss of all 8 crew members. NP699 crashed towards Brûly, Belgium with the loss of 6 crew members, but one survivor being Max Krakovsky, who landed safely by parachute near Bruly, Belgium and rescued by American soldiers.
