Bussells, Anne Homes, died Monday August 21, 2023. She was born in Richmond on May 23, 1927, and was raised in Boydton, Virginia. After graduating from Farmville State Teachers College (Longwood), she moved to Richmond. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Clifford L. Bussells, Jr. Anne is survived by her son, Scott Bussells; a nephew, Charles F. Homes III; and by Cheryl A. Hatcher. She was active in the church and enjoyed socializing with her dear friends, often with a good cosmopolitan in hand. She also enjoyed wintering on Longboat Key, Florida in her later years. Anne was a member of The Country Club of Virginia, The Woman's Club, The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America, and a former member of the Tuckahoe Woman's Club. A very special thanks to Savannah Goode for her years of devoted support and loving care and to Carol Harris as well. A funeral service will be held at Hollywood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel on Tuesday, August 29, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Avenue, Richmond Va. 23226.
