Don Estey Anglesey was born October 18, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to Walter Merle Anglesey and Mary Frances Estey Anglesey. He moved to Blackfoot, Idaho as a young child and graduated from Blackfoot High School.

Don served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to France and Belgium.

Don always loved music. He played in and directed pep band in high school and sang in as well as directed church choirs.

Don was interested in military service even as a boy; probably because of his father's service in World War II. As a teenager, he entered a military preparatory school in Georgia. As a young man, he began serving his country as an enlisted soldier. He eventually served in all three Army components: the Active Army, the Army Reserve, and the Army National Guard, with over 28 years of total service. In September 1965, when he was 21 years old, he enlisted in the Army Reserves and served in Reserve units in Idaho and Utah until August 1984. Then, he enlisted in the Utah Army National Guard, where he initially served as a French linguist in the 142nd Military Intelligence Linguist Battalion in Salt Lake City. After a few years, he transferred to the 1457th Combat Engineer Battalion in Murray Utah. He served the remainder of his career in that unit as a combat engineer. During Operation Desert Storm, his engineer battalion was activated to provide combat engineer support to the Army Combat Training Centers in Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany , from February through May 1991. He retired as a Staff Sergeant on November 1, 1993.

Don worked at many different jobs including being a security guard, a boot buyer for a clothing store and he worked at American Potato Corp. in Blackfoot for many years in research and development.

After living in the Salt Lake City area for many years, he moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and married Carol Dunaway on November 24, 2012.

Don was predeceased by his parents, a brother, James F. Anglesey and a wife, Carolee Skinner Anglesey.
