ERASTUS BETTS: died at his house on River street at 8 o'clock after a long sickness arising from kidney trouble. He was 70 years of age & was an old, well-known resident of Kalamazoo. He leaves 2 sons: Bert & Simeon & daughter: Mrs M Morehouse.

I don't believe Bridget Fowler was at any time his wife. She was his Mother-in-law, of his first wife, Saloma Benjamin. PS: Bridget Fowler Benjamin, was wife of my grgrgr Grandfather, Anson Benjamin. Anson's first daughter, Lucy Benjamin Fox, was my grgr grandmother.
