Cynthia Diane (Inglis) Vines, age 76, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away August 2, 2023. She was born May 12, 1947, in Norman, Oklahoma, to George Allen and Marguerite Ann (Goodwin) Inglis.

At the age of nine, Diane's mother passed away and the family moved to Temple, Texas, where she received her drivers license at the age of 14 and enjoyed different activities in high school, including the pep squad. She graduated Temple High, Class of 1965.

After high school, she married and started her family of two children. In these early years, she enjoyed cooking and sewing. Diane began working switchboard for Ma Bell in Temple, Texas, and continued when the family moved to San Antonio, Texas. She was later transferred to work in Downtown Dallas, Texas, as an Executive Secretary, so she and the children moved to Arlington, Texas.

While working at AT&T Downtown Dallas, she met and later married Mr. James Allen Vines. Together Diane and James enjoyed traveling and logged many miles in their RV with their little dog, Mia. They visited destinations all over the Continental United States, always looking for a new adventure with every trip. They also visited Hawaii and several cruise ship ports of call. Diane also loved watching movies and enjoyed countless hours with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Allen and Marguerite Ann Inglis; and husband, James Allen Vines.

She is survived by daughter, Ann and husband Roger Savant of Arlington, Texas; son, Allen and wife Kat Bridgewater of Waco, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
