Mr. Skidmore died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, in Long Beach of cancer.
He was born March 18, 1939, in Bayshore, Long Island, N.Y., the son of Arthur W. and Marion H. Skidmore Jr. He attended Hamilton College and the University of Texas.
Mr. Skidmore was an associate professor of philosophy from 1968 to 2003 at Kansas University. He wrote "Another Introduction to Logic." He volunteered for the Kansas Audio-Reader Network and was a member of Lawrence Civic Choir.
Survivors include a sister, Linda Skidmore Slozak, Westfield, Mass.
