Obituary
Florence May Smith passed away Monday, February 10, 2020. She was born on May 22, 1932 in Lundbreck AB. She spent her life in and around Fort Macleod and had various jobs including, waitressing, housekeeping, childcare and a job which she really liked at the old Fort Macleod hospital.

Florence married Livain John Smith and they had five children, Chris Smith, Lyle (Martha Ratcliffe) Smith, Mike Smith, Brian Smith and Norma (Alfredo) Peña. She is also mourned by her four grandchildren Amy (Brad) Honour, Adam (Desiree) Turuk, Marshall Smith, Duncan Smith and one great grandchild Jude Turuk.

In the 1970's she trained to be a massage therapist, which she continued to do for 23 years until she retired at the age of 65. When she did retire, everyone expressed how much they missed her treatments.

Florence was so excited when she first heard about the beautiful promises held out in God's Word the Bible. After spending time learning Bible truths, she dedicated her life to Jehovah by means of water baptism on May 20, 1965. Thereafter she spent countless hours teaching others about the wonderful truths she was taught.

Florence had a love for plants, flowers and loved to garden. She could grow anything she set her mind on. She had a kind heart and loved to laugh, coming up with all kinds of jokes and songs. She always loved to pose for a silly picture. She was sweet and gentle but feisty and independent. It's these memories of Florence that we can keep close to our hearts and will keep us smiling. That's what she would have wanted.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4807 2a St E, Claresholm, AB.
