Louise was born in Ernstberg House No. 6, Winterberg, Austria-Hungaria (today known as Arnoštka, Prachatice District, Czech Republic). She was the daughter of Karl Mondl and Anna Schneider. She immigrated to America and settled in Ridgefield Park, Bergen County, New Jersey. In 1914, she married William Dörling and they resided in Ridgefield Park. They had four children, Wilma, Josephine, Karl and Herman. She raised geese in her backyard and loved her flower gardens.
