THE PARIS NEWS, Jul 1955: William C. Frierson, 75, farmer at Chicota where he was born, died Friday about 11:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital here. He had been admitted as a patient a few days earlier. Last rites will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Chicota Presbyterian Church by the pastor, the Rev. Max Barton of Paris, Gene Roden and Sons will make interment in Chicota Presbyterian Cemetery. Mr. Frierson was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Frierson, born 22 Sep 1879. Besides his wife, formerly Miss Ora Esther McTear [sic], he leaves these children: Lewis Frierson, Wichita Falls; Troy Frierson, Curtis Frierson, John Frierson, R.L. (Buck) Frierson and Mrs. Jess Hughes, all of Chicota; Miss Lavinia Frierson, San Antonio, and Mrs. Donna Reid, Kermit; six grandchildren; these half brothers: Walter Frierson, Ragtown; Herbert Frierson and Duff Frierson, Paris, and a sister, Mrs. Clara Ford, Muleshoe. *Married Ora Ester McAteer.
