On Friday evening, January 8, at 7 o'clock occurred the death of George Booth. He passed away in the presence of his wife his family. Deceased was born in East Kent, England, March, 18, 1818, and came to this New York in his early age, and afterward to Fowler, Illinois. He was united in Marriage with Miss Mary Hart, near Columbus, Illinois April 25, 1841, and shortly after they located near Liberty. There were born to them four sons and four daughters, all of whom survive to mourn the loss of an exemplary father. Deceased was taken with la grippe, which brought on complication of diseases which, combined with advanced age, made it impossible for him to recover. Mr. Booth had been a member of the M.E. church and a zealous Christian for many years. The funeral was attended by many relatives and friends.
