Peacefully at the Stratford Rotary Hospice, Stratford, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Stanley of Brunner was in his 79th year. Beloved husband of 55 years to Erma (nee Roes). Loving father of Kevin (Sandra), Steve (Sharon), Debbie (Delford Kuepfer), Judy (Steve Cressman) and Tom (Sharon). Dear grandpa of 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Stanley will be sadly missed by his siblings; Enos Gerber (Reta), Amy (Melvin Kuepfer), Nick Gerber (Emma), Shirley (Larry Gerber) and David Gerber (Marilyn) as well as his brother-in-law Melvin Roes (Marietta). Predeceased by his parents Emmanuel W. Gerber and Elizabeth (nee Steckley), his brothers and sisters; Marie (Ivan Jantzi), Kathryn (Willis Kuepfer), Arthur Gerber (Laurene), Margaret (Raymond Wagler) Gordon Gerber and his sisters and brothers-in-law; Ruth (Sam Albrecht) and Laurene (Arthur Gerber). Stanley was a longtime member of Faith Mennonite Church. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Faith Mennonite Church, 1533 Chalmers Forrest Road, Wellesley where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. If desired, donations to the Stratford Rotary Hospice or Peaceful Meadow Retirement Residence, Brunner would be appreciated.
