Jared Bailey was a soldier of the revolution who in 1776 fought battle of White Plains under George Washington. After the War he settled in Rhode Island, moved from there to the Town of Cambridge in the County of Washington, State of New York & lived there about six years, then moved to Roxbury in Delaware County State of New York & he lived there about eight years, he then moved from there to the county of Guernsey CentreTownship in 1818 and lived there until his death in 1839.
