Minnie was born in Lovell, Nov. 27, 1919, the third of five children to Lavin Doerr and Dorothea Raab Doerr. She attended schools in Lovell and graduated from Lovell High School with the class of 1938. On May 24, 1942, she married Herman K. Fink at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lovell. Herman and Minnie lived in Lovell and the surrounding area during the 42 years of their marriage where they raised their four sons.
She worked on the housekeeping staff at the North Big Horn Hospital from the 1960's until she retired in the mid 1980's. Minnie's hobby for many years was crocheting afghans for her family and friends to enjoy, and she enjoyed doing embroidery and working in her yard. She loved to spend time with her boys and their families, and in later years the highlight of her day was going to the Senior Center and having lunch with friends.
From October 2006 until her death she enjoyed living at New Horizons Care Center in the assisted living unit, especially being with people every day, playing cards and participating in the many activities that were available to her there.
Minnie is survived by her four sons, Ken (Sherry) of Basin, Don (Sharon) of Issaquah, Wash., Ron (Fay) of Gillette and Garry (Lori) of Billings. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Scott (Cheryl) Fink of Snoqualmie, Wash., Rhonda (Terry) Hoder of Bothell, Wash., Kim (Darren) Lynde of Gillette, Amy Fink of Fort Collins, Colo., Shyla Fink and Melissa Fink, both of Billings.
Seven great grandchildren also survive her: Whitney and Natalie Hoder, Samuel and Jackson Fink, Garrett and Lauren Lynde and Tristyn Fink. Her sister Frieda Wheeler and brother Edwin "Ed" Doerr also survive her.
Other survivors include sisters-in-law Audrey Doerr of Sheridan, Georgia Doerr, Virginia Fink, Olive Fink and brother-in-law Clyde Harvey, all of Lovell, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; her father and mother; brother John and sister Odella "Dela" Porter.
