BLACK MOUNTAIN – Mae Shook West, 84, of Black Mountain, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 11, 2006 after a brief illness.
She was born September 1, 1922 to the late Hosea and Annie Aiken Shook. She was predeceased by her husband, Beryl D. West, Sr., a sister Gertrude Stewart, and a precious nephew, Millard Shook. Mrs. West graduated from Swannanoa High School in 1941 and Cecil's Business College. She retired from Beacon Mfg. Co. after 52 years of service in 2001.
She is survived by a son Dean West, and his wife Martha of Richmond, VA; sister, Margie Waddell of Swannanoa, and a niece, Kay MacDonald, and her husband James of Brockton, Mass.
The graveside service will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
