Gloria López, age 77, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on July 18, 2023.
Gloria's life was a spiritual testament to her belief in God, which could be seen in the relationships she shared with family and friends. Her faith is what bring us all together to celebrate her life and all the beautiful memories we shared with Gloria.
Gloria was born on October 3, 1945, in Grants, NM.
Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia DeArmond, father, Melecio Salazar, brother, Patrick Salazar, who passed away in Vietnam and her youngest brother, also named Patrick Salazar.
Gloria is survived by her dearest husband of 46 years, Bobby López, her three sons, Anthony Salazar and his trusted partner, Theresa Candelaria, Robert Gonzáles and Lawerence Gonzáles and his wife, Rosie Gonzáles, her only daughter Tanya López and her lifelong partner, Omar Pacheco, her beloved granddaughter Mya Pacheco, her sister, Rita Baca and brother, Bobby Salazar, her sister-in-law, Jean López and brother-in-law, Ramón López and his wife, Rosie López and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who she loved dearly.
Gloria worked for many years with the State of New Mexico in Santa Fé, NM where she eventually retired.
To many, Gloria was known as a very spirited, lively, and colorful person. Her presence was known each time she entered a room because she always spoke her mind without thinking twice. Gloria could liven up a room with her energy and theatrics, which is what people love the most. There were very few dull moments or stories when it came to Gloria. Often, people find themselves laughing and saying, "yup that's Gloria." If you truly knew her, you knew she loved family and friends immensely without regard, she was the luckiest person at the casino and she held steadfast to her faith.
