James I. Lowry, aged 84, one of the best known residents of the Dunbar vicinity, died at noon Tuesday, December 13, 1938, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roy Bryner, in Mt. Braddock, after a lingering illness. Mr. Lowry observed his 84th birthday anniversary last June 14.

In addition to Mrs. Bryner, he leaves the following other children: Mrs. James Cunningham, Masontown; Mrs. Orville Thorpe, Cove Run; Mrs. F. W. Paige, Cuyahoga Falls, O.; William D., Mt. Braddock; Robert I., with the U.S. Navy in the Philippine Islands, and Mildred Lowry, of Cove Run. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The body was removed to the J. T. Burhans Funeral home, Dunbar. Plans for the funeral will be announced later.

Final rites for James I. Lowry, aged 84, who died Tuesday, December 13, 1938, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roy Bryner, in Mt. Braddock, will be held at the Bryner residence at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, followed by additional services at 2:30 in the Cove Run Free Methodist church. Rev. Mr. Gilmore will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Lowry is survived by one brother, W. H. Lowry, of Cove Run.
