Mrs. Gaillard was the daughter of the late Raymond Claude Gaillard and Rose Anna Gaillard. She retired from Duke Energy where she worked her way up from switchboard operator to human resource manager. Joan achieved every goal she ever set. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. In her spare time, she and Roger did "Clowns for Christ", where they used their gift of humor to share Christ's love. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Gaillard is survived by her best friend and life partner: Roger Littleton of Walhalla, SC; son: Mark J. Osborne of Walhalla, SC; daughter: Kimberly Abbott of Clemson, SC; grandchildren: Carolina Osborne, Harper Sprouse, Mary Johnson, Brady Abbott, Travis Littleton, Noah Littleton and Claire Littleton; nephew: Gary Thrift; niece: Leslie Rains; and dear friends: David Littleton, Jackie Martin, Keith Littleton and Melissa Littleton.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaillard was preceded in death by her sisters: Shirley Thrift and Elaine Watkins; and niece: Shan Thrift.
