Obituary - Tremonton - Jacob Lloyd "Jake" Hunsaker, 91, died June 10, 2002, at his daughter"s home in West Valley City. He was born November 30, 1910, in Honeyville, Utah, the son of Alma and Lillian Booth Hunsaker. He was reared in Honeyville.

On April 19, 1929, he married Esther Marguerritt Hansen. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died.

"Jake" and Esther moved to their farm in East Tremonton after their marriage and lived there the remainder of their lives. He bought and sold cattle. He loved a good saddle horse and owned one his entire life. He served as an officer of the Elwood Ditch Co. He was a member of the Riverview Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his children, BoDell Benson, West Valley City; Francese (LeRoy) Dowdle, Willard; William (Frances) Hunsaker, East Tremonton; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, three sisters and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2002, 11 a.m. at the Riverview LDS Ward Church, 10750 North Highway 38, Deweyville, UT with Bishop Hunter Barrus officiating. Friends may call Friday, June 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday, June 15th from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Honeyville Cemetery.
