"Rites Set Today For J. H. Jones, Retired Detective"

Funeral services for James H. Jones, 66, of 4903 Lindsley, a retired DALLAS Police Department plainclothesman, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Suggs Funeral Chapel, 1001 Second Avenue.

Burial will be in Little River Cemetery near Milam City, Sabine County, with the Rev. Bert Matting officiating.

Jones died Monday in a DALLAS hospital after a short illness.

He was a native of Jones Prairie, Milam County.

A World War I veteran, Jones served in Europe with the 90th Infantry Division. He was a member of the East DALLAS Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife; three brothers, Monroe Jones of Freeport, Brazoria County; Bailey Jones of Rosebud, Falls County, and Rex B. Jones of Waco; three sisters, Mrs. P. H. Love of Greenville; Mrs. Earl Wright of Robstown, Nueces County, and Mrs. Robert Glenn of Giddings, Lee County.
