CAMERON – Funeral services for Rex Barmore Jones, 87, of Jones Prairie community near Cameron, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, in the Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Hudson officiating. Burial followed in the Little River Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Jones died Thursday in Cameron.
He was born Aug. 12, 1913, in Cameron to Richard Houston Jones and Mary Letitia Bailey.
He was a member of Little River Baptist Church. Mr. Jones owned and operated taxicab companies in Corpus Christi, Temple and Waco and, in his later life, he worked in real estate.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Doris Jones, on Nov. 29, 1997.
Survivors are a daughter, Barbara Sullivan of Robinson, and a grandchild.
