Doris "Eldean" Reeder passed away Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at home in Stuart, Oklahoma at the age of 89.
Eldean was born April 28th, 1930 in Stuart to Noah Sutterfield and Winnie Davis Sutterfield. She attended Rock Creek and Stuart public school. Eldean married Alvin Reeder in McAlester, Oklahoma December 23, 1949. She was a member of Bohannon Church. Eldean liked crocheting, quilting, piecing puzzles together and working crossword puzzles. She was an avid Stuart Hornet's fan, Oklahoma City Thunder and she loved spending time with family.
Eldean was preceded in death by her parents and husband, of 67 years, Alvin Reeder. She is survived by her son Milford Reeder and wife Mary of Ponca City, OK, daughters; Karen Yarbrough and husband Quinton of Gerty, OK, Kathy Moore and husband Robert of Stuart, OK, grandchildren; Melissa Poling and husband Scott, Matthew Reeder of Ponca City, Melanie Yarbrough-Tomlinson of Calvin, Shaunda Kindrix of Madill, numerous great grandchildren, brother Dale Sutterfield and wife Charlene of Stuart, sisters; Dottie Lessert and husband Jim of Ponca City, Linda Lee and husband Dennis of Ponca City, Glenda Prater and husband Don of Oklahoma City, Wanda Blasengame of Stuart and numerous other relatives, friends and two special Hornet players; Kaleb Wilson and Megan Jernigen.
Family gathering and viewing 6:00-8:00PM Friday November 15, 2019 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday November 16, 2019 at the Bohannon Church in Stuart, Oklahoma with Pastor Tracy Lenox officiating and assisted by Pastor Cecil Day.
Pallbearers are Kevin Clift, Terry Blasengame, Larry Reeder, Bill Myskey, Jeremy Luker and Craig Overton. Honorary pallbearers are Pete Lane, Gene Clift, John Baine, Ronald Davis, Denny Boren and Derald McNutt.
Interment will follow at Bohannon Cemetery in Stuart, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
