Born in Indian Territory near Stuart, she was the daughter of Elmore W. and Susan Catherine (Land) Davis. She was raised in Stuart and attended Rock Creek School. She married Noah Sutterfield on Aug. 10, 1929. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church and moved to Stuart from Rock Creek in 1989. She was involved in quilting, gardening, cooking and working crossword puzzles. She spent time with her grandchildren and also played the piano. She leaves six children; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; her husband, Noah Sutterfield; two sisters and one grandchild.
