Obituary for Wilma "Jean" Thomas
Jean Thomas, 83, of Orange, passed away on February 15, 2021, in Beaumont.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, at Orange Seventh Day Adventist Church in Orange.

Born in Angelina County, Texas on September 6, 1937, she was the daughter of Roy Fletcher and Robealou (Coslett) Fletcher. Jean worked for many years as an RN. She was a devout Christian and faithful member of Orange Seventh Day Adventist Church. In her spare time Jean enjoyed relaxing with a book in her hand and growing plants. She adored her family most of all and never missed a chance to spend time with them. Jean left an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hagar Thomas; parents, Roy and Robealou Fletcher; son, Jerry Thomas; siblings, Royce Fletcher, Raymond Fletcher, Mary Ann Fletcher, and Judy Fletcher.

She is survived by her children, Nettie Jean Gerstle and husband David, David Thomas, Mary Jane Rogers and husband Vince, and Sam Thomas and wife Betty; daughter in law, Kitty Thomas; grandchildren, Christina Gerstle, Ryan Thomas, Jeff Rogers, Briana Manning, Courtney Verma, Cory Rogers, Michael Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Ashley Hadley, Zac Thomas, Kaitlyn Hadley, Jennifer Hochstetter, Jon Thomas, and Jeremy Thomas; great grandchildren, Levi, Katie, and Nick Rogers, Ethan and Isaac Thomas, Alexis and Emma Hochstetter; as well as her siblings, Joe Fletcher, Kathy Fletcher, and Benny Fletcher.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
