Louie C. Farmer, 75, a resident of Sunrise Manor, formerly of Ferguson passed away, Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky.


He was born July 8, 1927 at the Chapel area of Pulaski County the son of Lawrence C. and Ella Jones Farmer. He was united in marriage to Lounetta Daws at Somerset on July 26, 1947.


Louie was a longtime employee of the Somerset Police Department. He was a resident for the past two years of Sunrise Manor, a member of the Naomi Nazarene Church and World War II veteran.


Survivors include his wife Lounetta, a resident of Sunrise Manor; one son Raymnond Farmer, Ferguson, Kentucky; two sisters, Lola Belle Mounce and her husband Eugene, Somerset,Kentucky and Clara Ping and her husband Chester, Ferguson, Kentucky.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Chapel of Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Kaminski officiating. Musical selections will inlude "He Touched Me", "Peace In The Valley", and "Sweet Bye and Bye". Pianist will be Diane Begley. Pallbearers and processional escorts will be officers of the Somerset Police Department. Interment will be in the Norfleet Cemetery at Naomi.
