Lounetta Daws Farmer, 82 years of age, a resident of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, October 13th, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on February 21st, 1928 at Naomi, Kentucky the daughter of the late Wilford Daws and Nona Alma McDaniel Daws. Lounetta was united in marriage to Louie C. Farmer on July 26th, 1947 at Somerset, Kentucky. She was employed at Lear Siglar prior to working at Tecumsi for many years and had been a resident at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home for many years. Lounetta enjoyed going for walks and was a member of the Naomi Nazarene Church.
She was survived by six sisters, Wanda Sue (and Carrol) Blevins of Somerset, Kentucky, Linda Spaw of Yosemite, Kentucky, Fayrene (and Lenvil) Shepperd of Boswell, Indiana, Verlene Hansford and Imogene Duncan, both of Somerset, Kentucky, and Ruby Parks of Lexington, Kentucky; one brother, Lenville Daws of New Jersey.
Lounetta was preceded in death by her husband, Louie on February 28th, 2006; and three brothers, Luid Daws, Franklin Daws and Marvin Daws.
Visitations were held on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 at the Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 in the Chapel of the Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating.
Musical selections were "He Touched Me", "Sweet Bye and Bye", and "Peace In The Valley".
Interment followed in the Norfleet Cemetery near Naomi, in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
