Albert grew up in St. Claude, Manitoba where he farmed with his family until he went overseas with the PPCLI.
In 1946 he married Louise and they made their home in BC. Bert and Louise moved from Surrey to Prince George in 1973 and spent many happy years camping, fishing and hunting with the family. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and seeing the arrival of his two great grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife Louise, son Ronald (Donna), daughter Wendy (Bill); grandchildren Sherry (Lance), Janice, David (Megan), Michael (Liza), Paul (Robyn) and great grandchildren Tyler and Liam.
Bert will be remembered for his story telling, quick wit and wonderful sense of humour.
