Mrs.Elizabeth O. Powell who died Nov. 18, was born Jan. 11, 1837. The funeral was held from the Christian church Saturday afternoon at 2 pm, with Rev. W.B.Hopper,Pastor of the church officiating. Interment was in the Greenhill cemetery.
She was well known all over Sullivan and other townships in the county, having spent a great part of her life in and near this city. She has been making her home with her only daughter,Mrs.Edward Dunkin, in the east part of this city.
Besides Mrs.Dunkin she leaves three sons,Ansel, and Joseph of Mattoon and William Powell east of this city.
