Harold" Lewis" Catron Jr., 77 years 3 months and 2 days of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life along with his wife Carol at there home on Friday, July 7th, 2023.

Lewis was born in Somerset, Kentucky on Friday, April 5th, 1946, son of the late Harold Lewis Catron Sr. and Jennie Rachel Morrow Catron. Lewis was a member and Trustee at Flat Lick Baptist Church. He retired from The Kentucky Lottery, worked for Food Fair for many years, served as part time Deputy for Pulaski County Sheriff's office for years, worked at and served on the Board for Southern Oaks Funeral Home, worked for the Rescue Squad, was a volunteer at Eubank and Shopville Fire Department, and was a member of C.O.P.S. Lewis loved to travel and fish with his grandkids. Most of all, he cherished and loved spending time with his grandchildren, known to them as Poppy. He was a faithful husband, devoted father and grandfather, and a friend to many.

Lewis was survived by one daughter, Tina Lynn (and Chris) Mink; two sons, Shannon S. Catron and Cameron J. Catron; grandchildren, Jessica L. Catron and Samuel C. Mink; one great-granddaughter, Nevaeh G. Shadoan; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lewis Catron Sr., who departed this life on September 16th, 1964 and Jennie Rachel Catron, who departed this life on October 14th, 2007; his wife, Carolyn Sue Brown Catron, who departed this life on July 7th, 2023; one brother, Samuel Wilson "Sam" Catron, who departed this life on April 13th, 2002; and one sister, Mellie Rachel Catron, who departed this life on August 25th, 2003.

Visitations for both Lewis and his wife Carol were held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at the Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13th, 2023 at Beacon Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Gerald Ashley and Bro. Joshua Tomlin officiating.

Lewis's pallbearers were: Bobby Jones, Richard D. New, Jeff Whitaker, Darwin Harris, Dennis Ducharme, and Greg Speck. His honorary pallbearers were: Jim McWhorter, Delynn Gibson, Bro. Harold Harris, Ron Jones, and Kenny Upchurch.

Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Carol Sue Catron.
