Sturgis; Lona A. BLAIN, 94, formerly of 514 N. Lakeview, died Jan. 2, 1987, at the Froh Community Home where she had been a resident for the last six years.

She was born May 10, 1892, in Morgan County, Kentucky, a daughter of Jim Tom and Phobe (MONTGOMERY) PIERATT.

On Dec. 10, 1913, she married Elmo BAIRD in LaGrange, Ind. He died in 1926. On July 1, 1946, she married David BLAIN in Bryon, Ohio. He died August 1958.

She was a Sturgis resident since 1930 coming from LaGrange. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Elwin BAIRD, South Bend; a foster daughter, Ruth (PIERATT) BLANCHARD, Sturgis; and two stepsons, Ed BLAIN, Dallas, Texas, and William BLAIN, Calagary, Canada; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, her parents, and one stepson, James BLAIN in 1982.

Relatives and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Foglesong Funeral Home, Sturgis, where services are at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Loren Schribner will officiate. Interment will be at Woodruff Cemetery, Woodruff, Ind.
