He was survived by his mother Eleanor and stepfather Harry F. Atkinson Jr, four brothers and two sisters. He was also survived by his three children. He was preceded in death by his father, and his oldest sister Frances L Krawczel. He died at Abington Hospital, in Abington, Pennsylvania.
