Johnnie Green Forrest, age 93, of Crossett, AR. died Saturday March 1, at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett, AR. Born January 21, 1915 at Hermitage, AR. a son of the late Tommy Forrest and Mary Barlow Forrest he was a retired road grader operator for the Bradley County Road Department and member of Saline Baptist Church. On May 11, 1934 he married Maggie Evaleen Forrest and she died August 2, 1994. Also, preceding him in death were brothers William Forrest, Herbert Forrest, sisters Minnie Lee Forrest, Exie Stuard, Carrie Pope, Ethel Stuard, Gladys Burt, Pauline Smith. Survivors are his wife Kathrain Rice Forrest who he married March 2, 1996. 1 son Alton J. Forrest, Hermitage, AR., 1 step son Roy Donald Rice, Hamburg, AR., 1 step daughter Deborah Ann Barnett, Crossett, AR. 1 brother Elwood Forrest, Bells, TN. 3 sisters Edna Jones, Hermitage, AR., Evaree Wooten, Sugarland, TX., Verma Wilson, Hermitage, AR. 1 grandchild Sharon Raines, Texarkana, AR., 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 3:30 p.m. Tuesday March 4, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann, Rev. Don Justice, Rev. Ricky Smith officiating. Music was provided by Robin Hood. Burial was in Outlaw Cemetery at Sumpter, AR. by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Russell Hooks, Roy Forrest, Howard Calvert, Eugene Forrest, Wade Barnett and John Parrott.
